I looked through them. Many of them have no one else in them. And others have multiple lovers. One john is the requirement. No john, she is not working. Multiple johns and she goes beyond the boundary. But there were a couple in there that may work (though in one of them, her reaction looks more like a rape victim than a prostitute).

The whole copyright thing... if the picture is of Japanese origin or is a fan drawing, odds on copyright suit go out the window.

what about alone pictures then, will those work?

Yeah, I’ve been meaning to get with you about her and kept getting sidetracked but you answered my question anyway, which was ‘does she have any other h-pics?’ There are three serviceable ones in the bunch you sent for her but between the desire to keep each girl instantly visually distinguishable from one another and the clothing based nature of several of the Types I can’t really use all of them in the same grouping. The problem is that you sent me three different potential glamour shots of her (one in a school uniform, one in a miko outfit and one in a fetching green and black sweater) but only one usable h-pic in the school uniform, two in the sweater and none at all in the miko outfit (which was actually the one I really wanted to use for her). If she was just naked in some of them I could work with that but if she’s wearing a completely different and distinctive outfit in each one it’ll be confusing for the players and the Type mechanic. There are some girls who have different outfits on in each of their pics but it’s because they’re Roleplayers and nothing you’ve said about her seems to indicate that would apply to her. Bottom line is, with the pics at hand I’m not sure we’ll be able to use her, which is really a shame but I don’t see a way around it.

Actually, it’s never been about copyright so much as ‘being a good sport’. Admittedly, if we tried to use girls from Western sources their respective copyright holders would reach for the torches and pitchforks as soon as they found out about it but there’s more to it than just that. SimBro is what’s classified as a ‘doujin’ game, meaning it takes established characters and places them into a continuity separate from their own, and if there’s anything Japan is known for even more than having two nuclear bombs dropped on them it’s not only the near universal acceptance but actual encouragement of doujin works by their creative community. Almost every major anime or manga artist got their start doing doujins of someone else’s characters, many of them have done h-doujins of someone else’s characters (which the creators of those characters typically consider a grand compliment) and some of them have even done h-doujins of their own characters and circulated them at conventions. I’ve heard of several mangaka’s assistants who got their job precisely because the artist in question was so impressed by an h-doujin they’d done of their characters. So, even beyond the simple fact that Eastern characters fit the atmosphere of the game better it boils down to a simple comparison: if we use the Little Mermaid the Mouse will kill us, if we use Rukia Kuchiki we might get an email from Tite Kubo saying how much he enjoyed the game. *snork*

Well, the specific rules for both girls and pics are laid out in the first post of the ‘Mars Needs Women’ thread but go ahead and send as many as you can find that fit all the criteria. If you find a lot then we have a lot to choose from and even if you only find one or two someone else may have found some others, but once it’s all said and done each girl will end up with three h-pics. That’s a high enough number for variety, yet low enough to allow even some of the more obscure girls to make it into the game. As for the rest of the rules, I still highly recommend reading the aforementioned post but they can be pretty much summarized by the following Ten Commandments of SimBro Pics:

01) Thou shalt only include pics which are in color.
02) Thou shalt include pics without word balloons, text, sound effects or censoring whenever possible.
03) Thou shalt only include glamour shots which represent what could be considered the girl’s most ‘iconic’ look and in which she appears in an enticing manner.
04) Thou shalt only include h-pics in which the girl has exactly one, anonymous or unrecognizable, partner.
05) Thou shalt only include h-pics in which the girl is clearly recognizable at a glance, whether through clothing, hairstyle, accessories, etc.

06) Thou shalt not include glamour shots which contain nudity or threateningly brandished weapons (preferably no weapons at all).
07) Thou shalt not include h-pics in which the girl is bound or otherwise does not appear to be enjoying a strictly consensual experience.
08) Thou shalt not include pics which contain clear depictions of modern technology.
09) Thou shalt not include pics which contain blood, bodily wastes, vomit, lactation or anatomically impossible poses.
10) Thou shalt not include pics which appear to have been scribbled by an epileptic quadriplegic holding a crayon in their teeth.

Actually, the vast majority of the green girls don’t have headshots yet. Don’t get me wrong, it would be greatly appreciated if people sent them in when they submitted the girls and it would save time and energy later but I figure they’re a lot easier to get than a glamour shot that meets my rather exacting standards and three quality h-pics so I don’t let the lack of a headshot keep an otherwise acceptable girl in the yellow, you know?


And as an aside Vava, you wanted to know which girls were in the original version of SimBro before any additions were made, right? Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on that but I had to sift through some pretty old files before I found it. SimBro v1 contained the following 42 girls:

Yeah, I was including the girls on the blue lists. I guess it is easier to just say they all need new pictures as opposed to double-checking what was already included in either version of the game and calling those good enough ('cause a lot of them weren't :/).

I'm able to recognize the girls from the original game easy enough, but I'm having a little trouble pointing out who was put into V2 by Pooolka and who was put in by someone else. I suppose the easiest way to determine that is to check their leader abilities, since almost no girl added after Pooolka originally uploaded it (save for a few of them like Lacus) did not have Leader abilities. ... Now that I think about it, that might clear the whole thing up for me, more or less. : P Well... Except for Blue, Shirona and Nel. Something tells me that Nel was part of the non-Pooolka patches (since she has N/A for her Leader ability as opposed to None), but I might as well ask about the other two. I know that the Pokemon Theme was added later, but I'm not sure if either of the girls were in before that or not (I just remember people complaining about them not showing up regardless of how many times you try the Monthly Joker).

Anyway, as a (small) update on my progress, I'm still struggling with the remaining green girls outside of Loup's jurisdiction. However, while going through CG sets on g.e to get a display picture for Minea as well as Team Player pics of her and Manya, I realized that there are several other Dragon Quest characters (not nameless classes, but actual characters) that should have plenty of adequate-quality pictures to allow their inclusion. So, basically, my next image package will contain a bunch of Dragon Quest girls, which might be at least a little beneficial (especially to the Mage Type).

The first is known as either Roto (JP), Loto (US GBC translation) or Erdrick (US translation). The second is known as Sofia. They are the main heroes (heroines, in this case) of Dragon Quest 3 and 4 respectively. Since you can pick what gender the hero is in both games (and since it's a Dragon Quest game in general), neither of them has a well defined personality. However, they both have somewhat detailed histories (especially Roto, who is supposed to be the legendary hero that the characters in Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest II are descended from), and they are both unique characters in their continuities. With that in mind, my question is this:

Are girls who are unique characters but do not have a detailed personality acceptable for this game?

Anyway, I'll continue/start to gather images of Roto/Sofia until you say otherwise. Both characters are able to cast a variety of spells in their games and might be appropriate for the Mage Type, if that helps (which it probably doesn't :/).

Wouldn'tcha know it? I'm this close to finishing my search for Dragon Quest characters pics, and I get stuck dog-sitting a needy chihuahua for eight to nine hours of my day for who-knows how long with no compensation. Well, I'm at least grateful that he's not unruly or unfriendly, and he seems to have become rather attached to me and my mother. I suppose what makes it stressful is that he's a lapdog; I sit down, he jumps on my lap. This causes me to sit in place for two hours (playing video games, no less; I'm getting back into SMT3: Nocturne and SRW OGs), only getting up to take him outside (where it's cold and wet) to let him releave himself. Sitting still is not something humans were meant to do for hours on end, physically or psychologically.

The good news is I'm down to about 100 cg sets on g.e (out of roughly 500). But then I'll have to check Pixiv, Danbooru/Gelbooru and the DQ Wiki (for character clarification). Anyway, there are maybe four girls from the series who should have plenty of pictures, and another four or so who might at least get a hold somewhere. Also, since you (Al) mentioned that the pictures we have of the girls already included are subpar, I've taken the liberty of saving whatever material of Jessica Albert I came across as I searched the CG sets. It certainly beats going BACK through them at a later date. T~T

Sorry I’ve been on silent running again but I’ve been kind of busy. Sorting through all the suggestions from the other forum I found is a daunting enough task (with just over 1000 girls on our lists I sometimes forget whether a given girl is already on there or not so I have to go through a lot of them one by one to make sure) but the mod I mentioned had several new girls in it with nothing to identify who the hells they were except first name and a few pics so I’ve had to do some rather creative searching to figure that out too. Anyway, here are a couple of long overdue responses.

Actually, yellow just means “we’ve got pic(s)”; as I’ve stated before, it’s a more or less ‘works in progress’ category as opposed to the ‘here is a list of names for girls that would be cool to include’ category that is the black section. If I run across one really good glamour shot or h-pic of someone, I make a folder, move them to the yellow area and figure I’ll look for more later. If someone sends me a zip with 37 pics in it, I make a folder, move them to the yellow area and figure I’ll sort through them later. If someone posts exactly one glamour shot and 3 h-pics here, I make a folder, move them to the yellow area and figure I’ll make sure there’s nothing better out there later. Some day down the line, I go through all the yellow folders and spend the day surfing the web. Some of the girls will get moved to the green section right off the bat and others after a little (or a lot) of searching while some will hang around the yellow section for a while longer or even get moved to the red if I’m convinced there’s nothing to find out there that will render them usable.

I’ve got the original v1 forum from FunnyGames (which was where Pooolka first unveiled v2) saved as a rather monolithic Word tome and I remember there was a lot of discussion about it on there, but it’s 88 pages long so it’ll take me a while to work up the nerve for any sort of extensive digging in it even if the answer is actually in there.

*pat, pat* There, there. Actually, if you want to put together some pics for them as well go ahead. You’re absolutely right that they probably won’t be used but it couldn’t hurt to have them ready just in case. I’ve already allowed Kirin in so I’d be loathe to make another similar exception but the precedent is there and who knows, we might still find ourselves running short on girls once everything else is done and end up putting them in just to finish the project. *shrug*

Just as an aside though, as arrogant as this may sound no girl is done until I say she’s done simply because I’m so OCD I always do an exhaustive search first to make sure there are no better glamour shots or h-pics out there somewhere. And by ‘better’ I don’t necessarily mean better art (although that’s always a factor) so much as being a better fit for my rather … exacting standards for how each girl should be depicted in each image. And the process doesn’t even stop when they’re moved to the green section either. ‘Going green’ basically just means that they have all the primary pics in what I consider an acceptable quality, there have been a ton of girls that I’ve considered ready only to switch out one or more pics at a later date because I found some even better art online somewhere that either I’d missed or hadn’t been available when I first assembled them.

Well, any of the girls in black are still needed as they’ve been suggested but no one’s sent me any pics yet. As for ones that people can’t find, those would be the red ones. I’ve pretty much given up on most of them because I’ve searched every nook and cranny of the internet and come up with squadoo and considering some of the girls that I have found pics of if I can’t find it, it probably doesn’t exist. Yet. The ‘yet’ is important though because I’ve actually managed to salvage a few girls from the red section due to someone dumping a ton of new pics of them on Rule 34 or Gelbooru (Maylene [Sumomo] especially comes to mind). Probably the most notorious is Hitomi Ishigami from Rosario+Vampire, of which I have thus far found a grand total of absolutely no fanart at all. As near as I can determine, the only person who has ever drawn a pic of her in any way, shape or form is Akihisa Ikeda, the mangaka (she doesn’t even appear in the anime). Which really sucks because I seriously want a gorgon in the game and she’s one of only three that I’ve even heard of (Rider from Fate/Stay Night doesn’t really count and Medusa from Kid Icarus likewise has no real art available).

As stated above, just because a girl is in the yellow section doesn’t necessarily mean she’s missing anything, it might just mean that I haven’t had a chance to sort through the pics I’ve got or to search for better ones just in case. A quick peek at Ms. Kotegawa’s folder shows that she has all the basics so as soon as I’ve done my usual due diligence to make sure there’s nothing better or more fitting out there she’ll be added to the green section.

And now for a few extraneous tidbits. I’d somehow managed to forget to add Maria Yano from Moero Downhill Night to the list but have since rectified that mistake. She had all the necessary pics so she went straight to the green section, giving us 500 green girls which, along with the 110 blue girls who were already in the game (assuming we can find decent pics for all of them, which shouldn’t prove that big a problem really) makes approximately 60% of our 1000 girl target ready to rock and roll. When I originally put the Dynasty Warriors girls on the list I classified them each as being from the game in which they originally debuted but after some thought have decided instead to use the DW5 versions of each as that was the only game in which all eight appeared together; since it was my mistake/change of mind, I fixed it by correcting all the pic sets myself. I find it personally offensive that there’s a Super Robot Wars characters actually named Tytti and not one single person has ever suggested her for inclusion in the game but I fixed that oversight as well. And I’ve almost finished collating all the new suggestions and updating my master lists so I should be able to update the lists on the forum sometime this weekend (it looks like the new girl total will be just under 1150 or thereabouts). After that, I plan to take a closer look at the wiki and give my thoughts on the content there and then finally get back to working on the rest of the game.

Besides, there was another girl from Dragon Quest 6 who, though she didn't get as much attention as the other girls in that game, still had some okay art here and there. So, let's see... that puts me at... 16 girls from the Dragon Quest series, alone (17 if you include Jessica)... I know a few of them won't get in for sure due to a lack of whatever quality your looking for in their pics, but it should at least get them somewhere. For the record, this next batch will also include group pics (mostly of Manya x Minea and Bianca x Flora, but I think the Bianca x Deborah x Flora grouping deserves a personal recommendation).

Just as a heads up, the wiki is mostly comprised of empty pages and ecchi artwork.

Don’t feel obligated or anything, I said you could put some pics together for them if you want, it’s hardly mandatory. They’ll probably never get used anyway (I know stranger things have happened but I have a really hard time believing that we might actually NOT find enough unique girls with enough pics to use), I only said anything because there have been a few occasions when I determined a girl couldn’t be used and deleted her folder only to later change my mind, figure out how she could be put in or changed enough in the game model that it wasn’t an issue anymore and then couldn’t find all of the pics for her I’d originally had. Since enduring that frustration I’ve started saving pics I like for girls I like even if there’s hardly any chance whatsoever of them ever seeing use in the game because I figure better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them if that makes sense.

Well, while I certainly wouldn’t kick any of the Rosario+Vampire girls out of my bed if they were, you know, real and all, in my case at least it’s more about filling out the different Types with as much variety as possible. Referring specifically to the Monster/Yokai Type, that’s why I’ve personally added a dullahan, a few ghosts, a couple of zombies, a mizuchi, a tsukumogami and a friggin’ genie to the list. As for gorgons, they’re visually distinctive and pretty universally recognized, which is a good thing when you consider that most of the people playing the game will probably be American and how many of them are going to know what a mizuchi or a tsukumogami (or a hakutaku or a nue or a wanyudo or a Tsurube-otoshi or …) are without hitting Wikipedia? Plus, they could work as a twofer with the Foreign/Exotic Type as well. *shrug*

A little late for that; I've already gone and done that. I've actually formed some strange vision in my head of including Roto, Sage, Soldier and Priestess (or Mage, if it turns out that we have to use Priestess as one of the Nuns) as some sort of travelling party of adventurers in the game. I know it's kind of a stupid idea and that they won't be favored in place of actual characters, but, seriously, those nameless girls get a LOT of appreciation.

Strike Witches, Cutie Honey, He Is My Master, and Daphne in the Brilliant Blue I was already aware of (good luck on Daphne, though), and I know that we're both holding out on examples. I think I was mostly trying to remind myself of that, since I keep getting set off track whenever I notice someone who isn't on the list and I think I've seen enough that they may be included.

Anyway, I should be done with that image pack, tomorrow. The character count, since I'm throwing in almost all if not all of the generic classes from DQ3 (they get a surprising amount of attention for not actually being characters), is at 24 (if you exclude Roto and Sofia for actually having identities, there's actually only 7 generic characters, and, like I said, I'm also including what I could find for Jessica and Team Player pictures for the DQ girls).

Tytti.... God, it makes me think of one of my idols. Frank Zappa. A passionate First Amendment advocate. Had a song that I think should be this girl's theme song. It would be even more effective if she were to serve beer to her johns. The song is... "Titties and Beer." (Or, in her case, Tyttis and Beer)

Man, nothing is ever simple, is it? I’d finally gotten all the newly suggested girls sorted out and was just getting ready to update the master lists here when I suddenly realized that I hadn’t researched any of them for full names, alternate names and nicknames yet. For those of you who might have been wondering, this serves two purposes. The first is clarity, since we’ve got well over 1000 girls now from a ton of different sources and not nearly that many names (some of the more epic and far-reaching anime, manga and video game series even reuse the same names within continuity) it helps to always be able to know exactly which Mai or Chizuru you’re talking about. The other is versatility, in case two girls with the same given name are both eligible for inclusion it helps to have some options for a different display name for at least one of them. Neither of those are deal breakers as far as updating the lists go, of course, but I’d have to get around to doing it sometime and when I did I’d need to update the lists anyway so I always try to have it sorted out before I even put them on there. Anyway, as so often happens that took me far longer than I’d hoped it would but it’s finally finished and I have completed the laborious task of updating the Master Lists. To save a lot of fuss and bother, with everyone going over the lists and trying to remember if so-and-so was already on there or not, here’s a run-down of what I changed this time around:

All told, 31 girls were added to the Yellow section and 137 to the Black section, which gives us a new grand total of 1178 suggested girls. Remember though that only 500 of those are in a state of readiness and another 110 (the ones already in the game) can probably be brought to such a state fairly easily (there’s plenty of good art for most of them out there, which makes it all the more baffling why such crap-tastic pics were actually used in the game), so complacency is still the enemy here. I’d rather have 2000 girls with all the right pics and be able to pick and choose the best ones than to have 1000 that we just settled for, you know?

Hey, if I included Nella, Nelly and Nero (the maids from Dance in the Vampire Bund) I'll include anybody. *snork* Not that I have any especial problem with them or anything and gods know we need more maids (along with pretty much every other Type) but I've seen squat-all for art of them anywhere. But I've always figured that if someone went to the trouble of suggesting a girl, or of actually digging up some pics, then I'm willing to at least give them a fair shot, you know? Why, is there some particular reason those girls shouldn't be included?

Eh, the jury's still out on CoD. If we can find enough good pics to use her and the 'yellow snappy snarly things' can be edited out of them I don't see why she couldn't be included but I think I'm going to hold off on making a final call on her until we determine if the pics are even out there. Same with Noah from Suikoden 04 since those games have such a tight continuity with each other and by the time the Suikoden 05 characters are around she'd have been dead for about a hundred years. Sure they're alternate versions of the characters and I could just say she's a descendent or something but if it turns out there are no pics of her in the first place it'll be a moot point so I'm not going to worry about it yet. *shrug*

If you'll cast your eyes up a bit you'll see that I just added all three of those girls straight to the Yellow section because they were included in the custom game I found.
